Netanyahu's Grandfather, Nathan Mileikowsky was born in Belarus, his father, Benzion Mileikowsky, born in Warsaw. When Benzion settled in Jerusalem, in the then Mandatory Palestine, he changed his name to Netanyahu. Benzion believed in the Greater Israel which, no doubt, is why Benjamin does.

And by the time the erstwhile Benzion Mileikowsky became Netanyahu, his family had only had the Mileikowsky surname for about 80 years, imposed on them by the Russian imperial authorities as part of an official state project to manage the Jewish minority.
