Amarie is definitely on the monstrous side. I imagine that she would’ve spent her entire life hunting humans and sinking ships; for the most part, she'd see humans as nothing more than potential prey.
An in-game screenshot of my durge Amarie as a mermaid. She is an elf with a pallid skintone and bone white hair done up in a messy crown braid. Attached to the back of her head is a large headpiece resembling the symbol of Bhaal. She has a red tail and is wearing black bikini armor. She is standing near the middle of the frame and her arms and eyes are aglow with magic. She is standing on a rock and behind her is half of a shipwreck.

I made pre-tadpole Amarie in the mermaid character creator everyone’s been using and I’m actually in love with how this came out. I can't believe she's still ruling the Bhaalists even from the ocean's floor 🥺

A picture of my durge Amarie as a mermaid, made with elequinoa's mermaid character creator on Doll Divine. She has white skin, white hair, and a red tail and fins. She is wearing an assortment of jewelry, mostly consisting of pearls, and is holding a skull in her right hand. She is looking at the viewer with a stern expression on her face.

I could totally imagine Amarie being friends with a megalodon or something like that. Something big, ancient, and seemingly monstrous. Maybe they would be an advisor and companion of sorts? Especially since some sharks can live for centuries to begin with 🦈

Image courtesy of the Encyclopedia Britannica article on megalodons. The picture compares the estimated size of megalodons to a great white shark, a human, and a elephant. It shows that megalodons were massive, easily growing to over 40 feet in length.

Amarie would live among the shipwrecks in the sunless ocean depths, rarely speaking with humans before meeting and making her deal with Gortash. The surface world would be something completely wondrous, dangerous, and alien to her.
