#BhoyInGarden Current heatwave has caused the Crocosmia Lucifer to bloom earlier than usual. I love this plant. Unusual shape/foliage. Splashes of bright colour. No work - Chop right back once leaves are dead & they jump back every year. Diablo indeed!

#BhoyInGarden It’s almost November, but the resilience of this beautiful Lady Of Shalott rose bush - still blooming today - continues to impress.

#BhoyInGarden The Lady Of Shallot rose has gone a bit mad. This is its 2nd summer. I suppose you can never have enough blooms, but I think I might need to chop back the outlying branches to give it some shape? Any gardeners out there with advice??

#BhoyInGarden The Crocosmia Diablo have finally bloomed. Amazing what a bit of rain can do. Great plant if you’re looking for a splash of colour. Interesting foliage. No work. Chop them back in winter or early spring & they come roaring back every year!

#BhoyInGarden Short break from walk/bike ride, for refreshment. I found this white/wheat/wit beer in the fridge, left behind by my son. I haven’t quite worked out if he was taking the piss with a beer from the Eternal Youth brewery called Nitwit! 🙄

#BhoyInGarden The 1st of the roses planted on the grave of our cat Beer has bloomed. That brightness you see in the middle isn’t the reflection of sunshine, but the actual change of colour

#BhoyInGarden Suus’s rose has bloomed. (Beer’s not yet)

#BhoyInGarden Looks like Suus’s rose bush (1st pic) is finally about to bloom - much later than last year (2 & 3). Only noticed this week it was infected by white fly & black fly. Not sure if my home made remedy spray did the trick, or if it would’ve bloomed anyway.

#BhoyInGarden Now that the head gardener is no longer with us, I decided - as it’s sometimes difficult to tell the difference - not to weed too much, but wait to first to see what comes up. This is a good example why
