It’s so bad especially in the macro scene. I was on bigfurs irc well over a decade ago but these days it’s like people act like I’ve got a 3 day old blank furaffinity profile
I have depression but I don’t cause problems it’s so fucked up idk

I’m toying with the idea of setting up my own server, but, y’know, BigFurs is RIGHT THERE and has all the expected IRC goodies. And if you know nothing about IRC, the WikiHow article…isn’t terrible. www.wikihow.com/Get-Started-...

Had to search for a blast from the past (apparently didn't have to search this hard but damn I miss the BFCC days of BigFurs).
No, for real. I thought this was lost to the ether and I'm glad to find it again! Like the second pic ever of Dev.

2. I wanna say for about....11-12 years? I started off participating in the Macro MLP threads on 4chan which then kind of got into bigfurs IRC and other channels like twitter. Basically since I was out of high school.

It is truly amazing to see how people have progressed since the days of Lofty Bearings, Macrophile/com, OffScale, and Bigfurs.
Seeing artists grow in skill.
Seeing writers be more ambitious.
Seeing people change and grow to be whole new and better people.
The size community is beautiful.

Another run of classic Benni Art.
Back from the days of 20xx??
When Live Stream sites were like Justin TV and such. I was in the IRC chats of Offscale and Bigfurs and doing simple things in Photoshop with no line stabilizer and correction. And using a basic non waccom tablet.

First discovered the fandom around late 2007/early 2008 when I came across the old Bigfurs .com story archive
Couldn't have asked for a better intro, tbh! Kusanagi, DTF, a few of ROGUE's old stories. Classics!
They definitely influenced my writing style, especially Kusa's stuff.
