As a follow up - Mark Bingham acted heroically that day and became an icon in both the rugby and LGBTQ+ communities (and the LGBTQ+ Rugby Community). There is a international gay rugby competition - The Bingham Cup - binghamcup2026.com/about - named in his honour. #binghamcup

I am home from #binghamcup2026 and am dreading the comedown from a full week of queer rugby
