#BioinformaticsTools
I think (and hope) that r/bioinformaticstools (started by @psy-fer.bsky.social, I believe) will become an increasingly popular and useful community where much of engaging discussion around new tools that previously took place on r/bioinformatics can again take place!
This dismissal of community discussion in the r/bioinformatics community does not sit well with me.

I (disagree with, but) understand policies related to not allowing self-promotion. However, disallowing tool posts all together, and applying the policy inconsistently, feels wrong.

They benchmark multiple Dorado versions using controls many workflows still skip.

In vitro transcribed RNA, METTL3 inhibition, and side by side GLORI on the same RNA.
This is the baseline many studies lack.
