Did you know that the Cascadia bioregion actually has a number of bioregions within it?

Spokane, Boise, and Portland are the biggest cities in the Columbia River Bioregion.

I am disgusted with these people, desecrating and destroying this pristine bioregion for profit. No soul. No conscience…

The state of the #Cascadia bioregion is strong, but it faces two serious threats: climate change and Donald Trump. My latest for Cascadia Journal: www.cascadia-journal.com/the-state-of...
The state of the Cascadia bioregion
The day after the US emperor gave his annual speech full of lies, I thought it might be good time to review the state of the Cascadia bioregion. The Cascadia bioregion is strong, but it is also under...

Environmental groups, incl. @westernwatersheds.bsky.social, say the federal government violated the National Environmental Policy Act by failing to consider the effects of livestock on an expanding Mexican gray wolf population.

It would be a great help to the planet if folks posting about the wonders of #nativeplants would include information about which bioregion of the world they are planting in. Remember, a "native plant" in one area can be an "invasive exotic weed species" in another! The devil is in the details. 🌎 🌿

May 18th is a special day in #Cascadia. In 1980, it was the day Mount St. Helens erupted and reminded us of the immense power of nature in the Pacific NW. It's also unofficially #CascadiaDay, a day to work toward a more free, independent and sustainable #bioregion. What are you doing to celebrate? 🇱🇸

I was screaming yesterday about how absolutely maddening it is that Plains cultures were called "savages" for not living sedentary lifestyles IN A BIOREGION WHERE NO MEGAFAUNA EVER SIT STILL. "We'll just put a buncha farming towns in these squares we drew on a map... wait, what's all that dust?"
