This stunning hybrid 1S Black-headed x Mediterranean Gull showed a real mix of species and age features, incl a full (Med-like) jet black (ad BHG shape) head, a BHG bill with a Med-like red tint, a bold (Med-type) white eye ring, a pale grey back, and Med-like reddish legs & tertials #NorfolkBirding

As well as being DiverCentral, there was a steady movement of Med Gulls through Boat Cove. A 1w in the kelp caught the eye: a weak looking bird, w/pale legs, thin bill, atypical Med head pattern & a look that wasn't right, I plumped for a Med x BHG hybrid.

Buston Links - The female Blue winged Teal x Shoveler hybrid reappeared today with five-eight, week old, presumably (BWT x Shoveler) x Shoveler hybrid ducklings. Coming to a duckpond near you!!!! She is keeping the chicks well hidden but a couple did make it onto the photos. #NEbirding #Birdhybrids
