my first Golden Crowned Sparrow of this season. #Birds #BirdRestStop some will over winter here but this bird being early will likely continue on south of me. The bird is at the Wild behind. It looks like it’s eating something off the moss. It’s a very short video.

“stay out of the habitat-yard it can wait.” I have to keep telling myself. 😑I walked out and scared this thrush.
this looks like another Swainson’s Thrush large eye-ring, the bird is a little bigger than hermit thrush and I think the slightly longer tail turns up more. #Birds #BirdRestStop

pretty sure this smaller Thrush is hermit thrush who spends a few weeks here before moving on as opposed to Swainson’s Thrushes who just overnight in Autumn. It’s confusing when there’s two different thrushes in the yard. I’m not complaining. #BirdRestStop #Birds

so this thrush has such a big eye ring. This was early this morning. I don’t know if this is hermit thrush or Swainson Thrush. The big eyering says Swainson’s. Today is a big migration day for my yard. #Birds #BirdRestStop

I’m so fortunate I can have a #BirdRestStop for our migrants. Western Tanager stopped for a bath around 10 a.m. today. They will probably stay for the day, refuel, and leave tonight. #Birds

This is not the same Fox sparrow that was here a few days ago. I think they’re just moving through my yard on migration because her chest has a different pattern on it.
