I have watched this in my own backyard surrounded by forest, field & wetlands. Bird loss is real & it’s devastating.

But we can DO SOMETHING. Create a bird-friendly home and yard: turn off outdoor lights during migration season, plant native plants, & keep cats indoors.

Worldwide bird declines have been increasing. This isolated research station was puzzled; the usual variables were eliminated. Now it’s thought the source is climate change. Hotter/drier conditions affect food source timing.
