I always look for red dust on the bloody things. Rarely see any dirt of any description. Until they go out beyond the bitumen, they are just a status symbol for a wanker.

A wedge-tailed eagle near Marree in the north of South Australia.
Marree is at the start of the Oodnadatta Track and the Birdsville Track. They had flooding rain just before I got there, so I had to be careful, but I explored a little way up both tracks.
