#BirthTaxThursday: "How does a court figure a Birth Cost repayment amount?" Child support asks the court to order: 5% of the father's monthly income over a 3 yr period; Half the regional average for birth costs; or an amount between half the actual birth costs and the full regional amount.

#BirthTaxThursday: Why end the #BirthTax? NONE of the money collected from a non-custodial parent supports the mother or child. If a county collects, 15% of the money it recovers goes to the county’s child support program, while 85% goes back to the state Medicaid program.
