It fucking kills me that the gold standard for "public engagement" is "THE UNKNOWN HISTORY OF [thing that is incredibly well studied]." Especially for women scientists, but really for anything historical, it relentlessly keeps the level of discourse at "this exists"
Calling her "little-known" seems off when there are several biographies and an entire network of research centers named after her: mecila.net/en/network. Bit great article nonetheless, she deserves all the attention🕷️🦋🐞
