Noella (Reynolds) Robinson and her sister were sent to Residential Schools when they were 8 and 5. It was traumatic for them, and for those in the village who wondered where they were being taken and who would be next. I usually think of shots with eyes closed as fails, but maybe it is okay in some cases. I love this Ilford PanF50 film, although, without lights, I rarely have enough light to use it for portraits, but I did on this occasion with Denis Ryan, Alcove.

Leslie Mallon, near Poltimore (TMAX-400), is a descendant of German settlers to the area in the early-mid-1800s. Some were displaced, about 100 years ago, by a major dam to generate hydro-electricity.
