My raised vege beds get absolutely choked with a mesh of this fine root stuff … any thoughts on where it comes from and what to do? We are surrounded by bluegums and I often wonder if they are the culprit.

This makes things like Fumitory look easy. Last year drought killed our bluegums and hakeas - this year growth(including weeds) like Ive not seen in the 30 years we've been here. Climate change ruins everything.

Love the charactersitic knobbly #gumnuts on Southern Bluegums. Don't often see the #blossoms high up on these tall straight trees, but some helpful cockies had been pruning this one. #plants #australiannatives #eucalypts

Those little sods absolutely massacred my bluegums this year. Barely any leaves remaining.

Silver dollar ones are slow-growing and very pretty in a pot! I also love the lemon eucalyptus. Those are both less hardy than those big bluegums but SoCal gets its freezes too!
