Tyranids don't seem to care about the preservation of historical monuments.
A scene with Warhammer 40k miniatures. The Red Terror and a Tyranid Termagant in front of ruins. Their carapace plates are in magenta with pink highlights, claws are in a dark grey with lighter grey highlights. While the Termagant has a bonewhite body, the Red Terror's is dark red with some bright red scales on its underside. The structures around them are predominantly painted in tan. Behind the miniatures is a page from Jon Hodgson's World War Ruins backdrop book, showing an arch and more ruined buildings in the background. The base for my Red Terror. Stones and columns are predominantly painted in tan. A broken statue in the process of falling down from its plinth. Tufts of various sorts, some yellow flowers, as well as some more columns and stone plates have been added. A striking visual difference from the rest of the base are traces of Tyranid infestation, painted in magenta.

Nothing to see here, just a small infestation of Nids.
Tyranid miniatures for Warhammer 40k. The Red Terror and six Genestealers are making their way through some Imperial ruins. The Red Terror is the newly released plastic kit, the Genestealers are the pushfit models from 2004. Their carapace plates are in magenta with pink highlights, claws are in a dark grey with lighter grey highlights. While the Genestealers have bonewhite bodies, the Red Terror's body is dark red with some bright red scales on its underside. The structures around them are predominantly painted in tan. Behind the miniatures is a page from Jon Hodgson's World War Ruins backdrop book showing more ruined structures and a foggy sky.

Graves in her vehicle has to be my new favorite commissar mini.

A fun to build and to paint, and seeing it all come together was a real pleasure. Yeah, I'm excited like a little kid. 😂

Commissar Thenia Graves in her custom Centaur RSV, Vigilance. The vehicle is mostly black with VGC Sombre Grey highlights, with details like Aquilas, exhausts and the plow in the front in copper (in a deviation to the official colour scheme not the part above the front side skirts, as that one is black). The gatling gun is silver. Graves coat of arms is a mixture of copper and silver, with a red diagonal stripe. The vehicle's deck has a metal floor, bonewhite walls, and a metal railing. Graves is standing in front of to the deck, she is wearing a white uniform with a black greatcoat, and is armed with a red power fist and a golden bolt pistol or a blue power sword respectively. Standing behind her is her retinue, the "Right Hand". One holding her banner, one on the lookout with a pair of binocs, and two operating heavy stubbers. These have some differences in the color scheme compared to Graves herself, e.g. retinue has yellow facings on their coats, and that holsters, pouches, webbing, and the like, are of a reddish leather color. Her banner is red with a gold border, inside are a white x-shape with gold border, a white Imperialis symbol, silver scrolls with her name and crest, and blue Leman Russ tanks. Front view of Vigilance. Vigilance from the other side. And finally, the rear view.

One more post about Graves: I finished her minis yesterday, today I've reached the point where her retinue & vehicle are as good as done.

Side note: One of her minis has the belt flipped around. 🤨😂

Closest thing I did was repainting my ruins from old starter sets and battleforce boxes. Didn't even bother to strip them, but painted right over the existing colors.
Blurry in the background one of the terrain pieces in question: Grey columns, bricks in a dark green color and white ornaments. Not pictured are floor tiles which have been the same color as the bricks. All in all a rather plain look. In front are some Imperial Guard miniatures in various states of completion, from unpainted to painted. The same terrain piece and others used as setting for a photo. Two Imperial Guard recruits are ambushed by a Tyranid Termagant. The terrain has been repainted to have khaki columns, desert yellow bricks, and bonewhite ornaments. Floor tiles are now of an anthracite color.

The end of the month is near, so it's time to look back at what I think were some fun minis to paint.

Not much progress to show with my Krieg army, but next month I'll have more time for it hopefully.

weeping vein came from my idea that they paint their armour bonewhite so blood (their own, mostly) shows on it better. my idea is lots of fast attack / jetbikes etc because theyre hit and run artists. so i think wyches would be a big part of the force

I'm Hampus usually I do cool concept art for video games but atm I'm working on my own illustrated book, which I hopefully will talk about more about as the year goes own (just not a fan of showing too much of my unfished projects)
Digital painting of a half stormgiant. She's clad in a dress with sheer sleeves and skirt, over it she wears a black patterned vest and another dark skirt. Around her waist sits a belt that is cluttered with knick knacks. In her left hand leaning to the floor, she holds a sheathed sword. In her right arm, leaning to her shoulder she holds a wooden scepter. Her skin is of a pale purple, and her hair is gray like a stormcloud with sparks of electricity jumping from it. Digital painting of a runelord wizard. Their lower body is that of a tiger, while their upper is the torso of a human. Around their waist sits a cluster of equipment with wands, staves, jewelry, potions and other knick-knacks. They hold a polearm in their left arm, resting it on their shoulder. In their right they are holding a large wine goblet. Digital coloured drawing of a Strix woman clad in a suit of armour. show me how you draw armor!

Covered in knick-knacks to hide my poor knowledge of how to draw it 😅

Within the smoke the text "War Mage" is spelled out They are clad in armour and covered in different odd knick knacks and weaponry. Over their shoulder they have slung a large warhammer.
