This is all very bookcentric; I consider Louis in the show to be a different character with some similar shared traits. I love the books and I love the show, but I acknowledge that they are very different interpretations of the characters and the story.

I love a video essay about a book, I guess what I fail to enjoy or understand is that specific flavor of engagement with books that seems very common in bookcentric spaces, it's a kind of pageantry.
