Today for booktalks we pulled five fav books- “thankful for these”- that only had a single copy of each (usually we talk multiple copy titles). The emotion my aide and I shared when telling why these five were some of our favs had the kids entranced! Never had such good audiences! #schoollibraries

A5: I used to rely on formal written booktalks taped to the back of books, but now I am more confident to review the jacket copy and do a quickfire commercial for the book. The more practice we have with booktalking, the better we get at it, whichever ways work for us #TLSkyChat

A2. I stopped writing booktalks and just have the facts on the back of the books. It makes it more interactive less scripted. I learned the more I prepare the less the teen connected.
