No one reads books anymore? Oh no? Well someone let the 35 pupils who showed up to #BooksNBiscuits yesterday know. We are reading The Downstairs Girl by Stacey Lee - a beautiful historical fiction that blends a sharp mystery with a powerful exploration of race, gender, and identity in 1890s Atlanta.

Many thanks to @readingagency @MacmillanKidsUK @LittleTigerUK for our #BooksNBiscuits bookclub copies of #AFlashOFNeon. What if the boy of your dreams became a reality ? What if you had made him up and now he is right here?! "..How real do you think stories are?"

And weeeeeeeeerrrrrreeeeee gonna be back for another year, starting on August the 25th. First meeting will address the most important question of the era... If your book was a biscuit , what type would it be? #BooksNBiscuits #bookclubs #Blueskybooks

So sad today to say goodbye to the incredible Mrs Forsyth from our BooksNBiscuits book club off to bookshelves new - we wish her all the best at her new school where we know she will take her love of reading and biscuits with her! Thank you so much for your support - the biscuiteers.

Lovely chat today at #BooksNBiscuits about our novel. Really loving the kindness of our MC and all the attention to factual details. At one point Saffiyah hears a bomb being dropped on Paris -we talked about her reactions and how we might have responded in the same situation.
