Borefts beer festival
Inspired by this let's take a Journey through my Borefts life.
In 2009, a small brewery in a small Dutch town hosted a small beer festival (maybe 100-200 people).

I'm a firm believer that one should never invest emotionally in a commercial entity, but hearing that Brouwerij De Molen will close forever this year is a gut punch. No more #Borefts, no more Hel & Verdoemenis, no more Bommen & Granaten. Verdoemenis upon you, Swinckels.

See, once one brewery starts dry-smurfing its beer, they'll soon all be at it.

Today is going to be great fun but also slightly poignant as it's the first day of the last ever Borefts Bierfestival.

So, it's goodbye to Eindhoven and the superb Van Moll Fest. It's been great fun and, with the demise of the Borefts Bierfestival, I will certainly be back.

Still at Borefts Bierfestival of course. Been having too much fun to post but this 14% stout with vanilla and maple from California's Bottle Logic is superb.

Pleased to say I will be going to the last ever Borefts Bierfestival. Having been to the very first and every one since, apart from last year, I couldn't miss this.

Our last ever #Borefts photos 😢. It’s been a fabulous annual event for me since 2008 and I will really miss it. Feeling quite emotional right now.
