#Drawing of #FrankensteinsMonster from Dec 2023.
I actually drew part of the outline in 2022, but gave up due to lack of skill in portraiture.
Drawn in graphite/mechanical pencils.

Small sketch of the head and shoulders of Frankenstein's Monster from the 1931 film "Frankenstein", as played by Boris Karloff. He is drawn in graphite pencils on white paper. The pose is front-profile, his head is tilted to the left and he is looking off to the right. Photo taken further out, with a mechanical pencil underneath the drawing for scale. At a guess, I'd say the portrait is about an inch and a half high. Same drawing, but enhanced to show maximum detail. The unshaded outline of the portrait, still with some of the guidelines in place.

My very first #drawing of #FrankensteinsMonster I did on Boxing Day in 2022, a year after discovering the film & it becoming an instant favourite.
I still like this one quite a bit, despite having improved a lot since.

Small sketch of the head and shoulders of Frankenstein's Monster from the 1931 film "Frankenstein", as played by Boris Karloff. He is drawn in graphite pencils on white paper. On the left of the picture is a pencil for scale. The style was intended to be realistic, but came out more cartoonish than originally intended. Photo taken closer in, showing more detail.

#Drawing of #TheGrinch from 2022. Best thing I drew that year, to be honest!

Drawing of a still from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" 1966 cartoon. The Grinch is wearing a Santa suit and grinning with his hands on his hips. He is coloured in colouring pencils, so a bit scratchy in places because of the paper texture. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with how he came out. Photo taken further out. The sketchbook he is drawn in is about A5 in size. In the bottom right of the photo, are two red and green pencils for scale. In the top left, is a paper green Christmas four-pointed star, as a flourish.

Portrait of Frankenstein's Monster from "Frankenstein" (1931) drawn in fine-liner ink pens. The shading technique I used was stippling. Portrait of the Bride of Frankenstein drawn all in white pencil on black paper. She is looking up to the left corner.
