People who say stuff like "Boriswave women" should be ostracized from society.

Louise Haigh attacking the Tories' immigration record using the far right term "Boriswave" from the despatch box. Another shameful pandering moment for Labour

Are the Tories and the Boriswave to blame for the rise of the far-right?
November 5, 2026 at 11:01 AM
Farage is calling him Open Borders Burnham, the Mail is using the Home Office lie about the £10billions against the government, the Times is saying the 'Boriswave' is now the 'Burnhamwave'. Good job, Andy and Shabana, you definitely won the sympathy of the far right that you so desperately crave.

“Boriswave was the greatest betrayal by the last Conservative government.

It’s why I left the Conservatives” says Braverman

Fun Fact — Johnson was out as PM July 2022

Braverman didn’t leave until Jan 2026, during which time she was hired & fired as Home Sec twice

That’s how furious she was 🤥

Times: ‘The Boriswave is now the Burnhamwave, and it may overwhelm Labour at the next election"

Difficult to find a basis for this electoral hunch.

YouGov: Most Labour voters would not have made changes to settlement to those already in the UK at all. (Most Reform voters would. Cons voters split)

The £9.5 billion (rounded up to £10bn) never made clear the cost was thirty years away & ignored how it was mitigated by £9 billion of net contributions from this cohort in the next 3 decades (within £115 billion from the broader so-called Boriswave workers)
bsky.app/profile/sund...
What govt have is the projection of a £9.5 billion lifetime cost (in 30 years time) if care workers stay for life (after they turn 65)

This is just NOT a calculation of what govt policy saves by making them wait to 2036-40 not 2026-30 then stay for life. (That is obvs a v small number)

playing animal crossing on gamecube and listening to lo fi boriswave beats to relax/get brexit done to
November 4, 2026 at 7:40 PM
A BBC reporter just referred to a "huge flood" and a "huge influx" of people migrating to the UK in recent years. Dehumanising, partisan language indistinguishable from far-right rants about a "Boriswave" or right-wing tabloid headlines, but dressed up as BBC "impartiality".

Reform : if we get to power, we will remove British citizenship from people who got it legally

I did Nazi it coming

@ZiaYusufUK

A Reform government will review British citizenship granted because of Mahmood’s weakness today.

We will reverse the Boriswave.

Times must logically think Labour voters will in significant numbers vote for the Comservatives (whose so-called "Boriswave" it is) over this or for party who will cancel ILR, deport settled Commonwealth migrants & now citozens here 6 years (a party who most Labour voters perceive as racist)
November 3, 2026 at 7:34 AM
What's particularly insane about this appalling policy is that back when they cooked it up the entire point was to stop the so-calles boriswave care workers from settling, they then exempted care workers because it went down like cold sick but are still doing it to everyone else for ~reasons~
We have 1 month to go until my husband can apply for ILR.

He took some time out of full time work because childcare is heinously expensive & now he might be punished for it.

Burnham had the *perfect* chance to walk away from this disastrous policy & he bottled it

Mahmood expected to announce changes to rules around indefinite leave to remain
The home secretary has faced opposition from within the government over plans to impose new rules on migrant workers already in the UK.

"Boriswave must be stopped" lol, you stopped your candidates in 2019 so that Boris could safely win!

absolutely useless coverage in the FT’s inside politics newsletter as well, using the “Boriswave” language (albeit with a space for hygiene purposes I guess) and hallucinating a shift in position that simply isn’t there

to know that these were "Boriswave women", he must have been asking the people caring for him how long they'd been in Britain, which is quite something

"labour shortages have triggered a boriswave of permanent non eu migration, often older workers with dependants"
the *earliest* anyone from 2021 can apply for ILR is this year. what actual numbers do we have so far? and don't get me started on "older workers and dependants". you mean spouse/kids

He's been saying silly & wrong things about language proficiency well before 'Boriswave', telling me 15 yrs ago that Pakistanis in Bradford spoke 3 languages badly: northern English, 'Street Gangstah' [his accent was cringe] & Urdu. I said: I didnt know you spoke Urdu David; he rolled his eyes at me
November 2, 2026 at 7:02 PM
fearmongering with “Boriswave permanent non-EU migrants” like we don’t see what you’re doing

if it wasn’t for the fact that Reform are anti-EU, most FBPE folks would be basically at home with them
November 1, 2026 at 2:51 PM
The Times bemoaning the cost to the Treasury of falling immigration and also bemoaning the cost of not reducing it further.

Because The Times is a deeply dishonest, rightwing propaganda rag that peddles prejudice but refuses to take any responsibility for the inevitable failure that follows.

The obsession with social security & immigration from politicians every week is exhausting.

It is really a race to the bottom for who can give it a greater kicking.

The words “Boriswave” and “welfare bill” were not spoken of like this a short while ago

It's 'odd' how Reform keeping talking of the 'Boriswave', yet the peak arrivals occurred when (now) Refukkers Braverman and 'Honest' Bob were in charge of immigration. 🤔

Also 'odd' that the lower the numbers get, the more noise and fury the right wing extremists make. 🤔

My two UK masters degrees and my law firm profession while getting a normal England salary, finally having a chance post-Brexit, being called “Boriswave” by supposed allies…
November 1, 2026 at 7:41 PM
The Tories opened the floodgates. Now Labour is ensuring those migrants stay permanently.

Only Reform UK has a plan to deliver for the British people by reversing the Boriswave and ensuring net negative migration.
