[Commission] Mesean Bothunter

It depends on the purpose of the account and whether or not it seems malicious or just weird. It’s not a given that an automated reply account would be banned, policy is still being worked on in more detail. (Though in my role as bothunter i have a bit of latitude to make some calls)

BOT ALERT: Saw Dave Johnson Lottery Winner bot accounts ALL the time on the dead bird site. Looks like they’re trying to do a better job of hiding it, but the banner and the posts confirm. #Blocked. #BotHunter

Und ich lege es ja nicht wirklich drauf an. Ich lasse im Hintergrund aktuell hauptsächlich eine Art Bothunter laufen, er scannt Skeets und schätzt, auch auf Basis früherer Posts und Bildern, die Wahrscheinlichkeit ein, dass es ein Bot ist.

Man kann aber wirklich alles scannen und mit KI auswerten

Yeah figured since all the Tweeps are fleeing so are the bots. See LOTS of, “following thousands” accts with no posts or replies. Friday as a newbie I was 🤔. “I should wait and see.” Today I’m 🤬.“Block that bot!” 😂 #BotHunter

Love it! It’s a major red flag when “someone” takes the time to follow hundreds of accounts but doesn’t have 1 thought about anything they reposted. I blocked LOTS of fake 💙 accounts at the dead bird site and all they did was repost—never a comment. Bots here are REALLY trying to hide. #BotHunter

Sadly though it looks like the bot accts followed. Been here 2 days and already blocked Lottery winners, Gambia accts, pro-Trump, “regular” bots with no bio, no posts, super high following. Been there done that. They aren’t hard to spot. #BotHunter 🤭

Hey @poofer.bsky.social. Coming to my fellow #BotHunter. This list was posted from a new follower and her comment was they look like bots to her. “They follow thousands but have the same posts.” Haven’t gone through them all yet. What do you think?

Disagree. Bots follow blue accounts all the time. IF you are following hundreds/thousands and don’t think 1 of those is worth reposting OR you don’t have any opinion, you totally look like a bot to me. If you aren’t, why would I want someone so indifferent following me? #BotHunter

Please post those so we all can block them. LOTS of spam accounts there and I’ll block every single one of them. I’m ALWAYS quality over quantity. #BotHunter

I hope so. What I see is people trying to drive their numbers up so they're following everything. I was a #BotHunter on Twitter and will do the same here since I'm all about #QualityOverQuantity.
