I’m going to a FIFA Club Cup game tomorrow. Ticket sales were abysmal. They are literally giving tickets away. Word is, none of the Botofogo fans want to travel here. Shocker.

As part of the Galaxy signing Matheus Nascimento on loan from Botofogo, the Sounders will receive $50,000 in 2025 GAM for his Discover Rights. If Galaxy exercise their purchase option, Sounders would be compensated $150,000 more in 2026 GAM.

Per @tombogert.bsky.social: Crew shelled out around $6M for this transfer; the fee did not go to Botafogo, which owes MLS millions after ignoring payments to other league clubs on previous transfers.

Not gonna lie, with all the ticket and price bullshit, and FIFA being FIFA, I thought I'd be going to the CWC matches just because of sunk cost.
So far, both matches we've gone to have been bangers.
12k people have never sounded so good in Lumen, and the Sounders vs Botofogo match was fantastic.

I was supposed to drive back to LA on Sunday but instead I’m gonna go see the sounders play Messi after seeing them play Botofogo, athelti, and PSG, and a mess of MLS home games. It’s been a good summer of soccer here in Seattle.
