So my car place was good until they got new management-
They said my brakes were in urgent need of replacement and my rotors had damage too, quoted me $800.
I said no way, because…no way. Lol.
Dad checked - the brakepads weren’t even done, let alone the rotors.
Time to find a new shop. Again. 💀

not enough people use engine braking while driving, just keep wearing down their brakepads more than they need to :/

Bring motorcycle to garage for checkup.
Both tires need replacement and the brakepads. Ok.
Tough apparently the battery seems to be having problems they said. I replaced that one with a new one last January from the same shop. So they're going to have to check.

Vehicles are harder to work on, everything has to be done at a dealer, or with niche software which stops the driveway mechanic changing their own brakepads, engines fail sooner and more catastrophically, essential spares just vanish from production, and touchscreens die faster than real gauges.

I only need a little luck to make my 20 km daily trips without using my brakepads at all. A combination of anticipating traffic situations with my EV's regenerative braking.
