What vexes me most immensely about Ss Brewtech shutting down is trying to find another equipment supplier for #DracalopexMeadery. No one else I can find online sells both fermenters and brite tanks in 1-5 barrel sizes, glycol chillers, and has upfront pricing.
Well shit, I just hit a massive roadblock toward starting #DracalopexMeadery. Ss Brewtech, one of the main brewing equipment suppliers I've been looking at, is shutting down by year's end. Now I have to find a new supplier and redo most of my prospective equipment spreadsheet.

I have 21 litre and 26 litre Chef Inox Elite pots & use an old SS Brewtech box as a koji incubator (although I do have fridges for that). Sake isn't difficult, there are just a bunch of steps in the process. I'd love to see every homebrewer give multiple parallel fermentation a crack.

They need to make sure taste, carbonation, and strength are consistent batch to batch, something that would be near impossible without modern brewing techniques and equipment.

It's really shitty that in Australia the SS Brewtech Brew Bucket taps have been replaced with an expensive silicon closing tap and silicon racking arm... but you can't buy the replacement O Rings for the old SS racking arm anymore. Stainless lasts forever... or until it doesn't?

OK I'd better clean and sanitise this shite heavy tank of a 30 litre fermenter with holes for every which whatsit I'll never use... it's putting on the legs that brings the most annoyance. My NANO fermenter gets used for my lagers, or if the SS Brewtech Brewbucket is being used.

My favourite stainless steel fermenter has to be the plain and simple SS Brewtech Brew Bucket (26 litre) with a thermowell. I don't need to drop out yeast or do any of that other fancy shit; all I want is beer in and beer out. I have another fermenter that's 3x the effort.

maybe next time... I have a much lighter SS Brewtech fermenter that is manageable... and there's always plastic fermenters, I guess. The Nano fermenter is just built like a tank... I'm sure they assumed everyone makes and ferments their beer in their product development area.

It'll be sad to see that brew kettle leave because we made an embarrassing amount of beer in it over the last few years... I just upgraded to a low end SS Brewtech with tri-clamp fittings so this older one has to go... AUD$80 is a pretty good deal for well kept stainless IMHO.
