We now know why Labour won’t do what the U.K. needs and polls show the vast majority wants. There are plainly Brextremists in the heart of this government machine; Blue Labour, Policy Exchange, etc building policies based on lies, in search of some mystical nationalist hell-hole.

That’s my view - it’s not going to get any better for Starmer politically, and, economically, it’s going to get a whole lot worse for all of us if he doesn’t address the issue of Europe - so it’s time to stop pandering to a tiny hardcore of do-or-die Brextremists.

Starmer needs to stop worrying about upsetting Brextremists and the Daily Mail/Express and offer a clear pro-EU alternative to the current Reform Lite path he is taking. The threat from Farage is only made greater by trying to appease his backers and supporters.
