Council reported completion of a promenade ramp, ongoing work with the county on failed ramp sections and lighting outlets, and said Congressman Van Drew secured study funding in the 2027 budget for possible Army Corps seawall work.

Council members raised concerns that state regulations limiting required off-street parking to three or four spaces, regardless of bedroom count, leave large shore homes without adequate parking. They proposed reaching out to other shore mayors and state lawmakers to pursue changes that allow local parking requirements.

Council members said the county will rebuild the demolished north-end Promenade ramp and that a manufacturer will inspect electrical receptacles on light poles. Staff warned concrete ADA ramps placed directly on sand lack foundation and are vulnerable to storm erosion.

The Brigantine City Council on July 15 adopted a series of employment agreements and routine contract resolutions and introduced a $16,999,750 bond ordinance to fund capital improvements including initial work on a new beach patrol headquarters.

Brigantine leaders told residents they are pushing the county and federal partners to fix promenade maintenance issues and to prioritize beach replenishment and a possible seawall study that could cost $15–20 million; council pledged follow‑up with the county and the congressman.

Council introduced Ordinance 2026-11 to repeal a prior local resilient-environment and landscape regulation (Ordinance 2026-8) in anticipation of a likely temporary state suspension; the council said it will await formal state notice and work with stakeholders.

The Brigantine City Council adopted Ordinance 2026-9, authorizing $11,500,000 in bonds to finance a citywide lead service line replacement project; the public hearing drew no speakers and the ordinance passed on a roll-call vote.
