I would actually be very interested in her response as it seems to just be, no I have integrated and see myself as adopting British values. From what I've seen of the far right protests and marches a load of them don't want any non-whites in the country.

Perhaps she is insufficiently aware of the long-established British tradition of tolerance and diversity, or is simply reluctant to apply them to non-whites. Her values are not our values.

I wonder if there is concensus the "English culture" and "British values" are not interchangeable? That Britain itselfelf is a multi-national place with 4x indiginous languages (6 counting Manx & Cornish). It is multi-faith with no single state church, and many non Judeo Christians / non believers.

Non of that is in international agreements. As an island, should we just take no international responsibility? I thought part of British values was protecting the underdog. Our compassion for other human beings. Seems our government is pandering to the lowest common denominator.
