The first episode did not promise spectacle. It simply asked viewers to pay attention to a single street and the people who lived on it. That invitation has lasted for more than six decades.

2/2 >>how he &Blaketon disliked each other &how he saved his life more than once. His stand out moment for me was his ❤️story wit Tessa, this gave him another side &allowed us to enjoy Bill’s performance even more. One of the most ❤️’d & recognised characters in BritishTVhistory💙
