i think these thoughts would be specific to his relationship with matcha only and would absolutely not feature in any other context or relationship...because matcha is so uniquely made, BRoll experiences a desire that supersedes his need for absolute autonomy (pregnancy)

in the instance of pregnancy, i like the thought of BRoll taking an intense intrigue in matcha's pregnancy, not only out of academic interest & monitoring her progression, but also because he quietly wonders how it would feel if the roles were reversed (a notion that cannot be realised)

it's so true...I just interpret BRoll as insanely autistic because he can only view other cookies through the lens of his research fixation. the audience thinks this only applies to matcha somehow which astounds me, lol. i think matcha simply stimulates that interest in a way no other cookie does

I believe BRoll would feel a bit of humiliation from being topped, partially from a perceived gender role reversal but mostly from the loss of control he would feel. but the 10% humiliation actually enhances his exhiliration; an experience that feels borderline taboo

I used to say more writers should get tear gassed and have live rounds pointed at them by federal police. After Minneapolis, when that actually happened to writers, I realized it's not feasible.

i view matcha as being a little sadistic in terms of wanting to 'defeat' BRoll by making him submit to her. i think she'd enjoy humiliating BRoll a bit, but the real pleasure for matcha is knowing that BRoll likes and craves the act - 'you act like you're so perfect, but you're a pervert, hehe!!'

I've never seen BRoll as wanting to harm Matcha despite having an obsessive fixation on her...in the main story it seems he wants to intently study her, but he also desires to know her thoughts. in the hotel story there is none of this context and it seems like BRoll wants to help matcha...😗

its great because narratively it places matcha & BRoll on the same level. this is why I do not interpret their relationship as having a fixed power dynamic (one in BRoll's favour). it's not just wishful thinking honestly - who would compete with someone they truly deemed beneath them?

matcharoll has such a comedic vibe to me, like they act like such fools around each other. I really like this and I think it's just so funny to think of BRoll - a guy defined by his perfectionism and competance - locked into a petty ongoing squabble with matcha. its so fucking perfect
