Dominique kneeling before what appears to be an alter, showing off what would’ve been her wings until she clipped them off herself ❤️‍🩹

;; if you could choose…
what would these hands say
— to you?

w/ @gremmygore.bsky.social ‘s Solene🖤

Dominique’s hand lovingly cradled and explored by Solene’s; a breathtaking vision of their first meeting. Dom’s thumb is grazing along her left palm, as Solene’s fingers are tracing her palm in kind. Gentle yet fleeting, the viewer would note the size difference (as would I -whew-) in the frame. Delicately held and cherished if only for a moment.

Aesthetic (Southern Gothic) N’ami standing and facing Dominique, a long time friend and colleague. They are both looking towards the viewer with an interested gaze. The setting is a swampy area reminiscent of the Bayou within Louisiana. The umbrella specifically is a call out to a dance/tradition called the second line. As a New Orleans native, this particular pose had some home and heart within it. Big big fan of swamp areas and the southern gothic charm that is New Orleans as a whole ✨⚜️✨🖤
