Learning Kyle Kallgren (BrowsHeldHigh) is retiring from YouTube was a punch in the gut, but I understand his reason. He made some of the most insightful and thought provoking videos on the platform, and showed the value of fully engaging with art while truly enjoying what others have created.

like browsheldhigh and todd-in-the-shadows, while both "reviewers" definitely pushed towards a video essay format as the years went on as well, much like Todd's Trainwreckords videos which are basically mini documentaries at this point
