Fun times with the Airfix Alvis Stalwart. Fear not, @tentbeard.bsky.social, the hideous "mesh" glass cat basket is only a test fit while I scratch build a replacement. Although some parts are way too chunky for 1/35th, all-in-all, this has been a pleasing build thus far. #histscalemodels

I did a Build Your Own Boardgame workshop this week, and look at this amazing basketball themed game some of the kids came up with. Instead of a dice, you have to score a basket to take a turn. Ridiculously addictive stuff.

A lot of this conversation is also avoiding how in reality, a lot of consumer goods pricing doesn't cleanly correlate with build quality, because there's a whole basket of variables that goes into pricing strategy and market segmentation.
