It's everyone's favorite bastard, Greyson 😘

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A reference of my OC, Greyson Donald (he/him). He is 28 years old and stands at 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He has light pale skin and long pink hair tied up in a large ponytail. There is a large turquoise bow that holds up all his hair at the top of his head. Greyson has turquoise eyes with dark narrow pupils. He typically wears pink eyeshadow and blush. His teeth are sharp all around. He always wears a white bracelet on his right hand with a black ring on his middle finger. Greyson is wearing a standard bulwark uniform. It consists of a black jacket on top of a white button-up, a black skirt, leggings, black shoes, two belts with one bulwark buckle, and a small western bowtie. Greyson looks like a very feminine and dainty damsel but is actually a crass man who holds himself like a typical man. One of the reference images has him smoking a cigarette with an annoyed expression. His description says “Greyson is a bulwark with a rather brash personality. He is not as innocent and graceful as he presents himself, but that does not deter most people. Skilled in both combat and socializing, Greyson is one of the finest bulwarks in the office.”

Reference of my queen, Yuwa 🫶

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A reference of my oc, Abieyuwa Praxion (she/her). She is 25 years old and stands at 5 feet, 2 inches tall. Yuwa has dark skin and short wavy purple hair with pink dye at the ends. She has hot pink eyes with dark round pupils. Her uniform consists of a white button-up shirt, the bulwarks jacket with pink as her accent color, leggings under her shorts, the bulwarks belt, and sneakers with gold soles and laces. She wears special gloves as part of her uniform that only covers the back of her hand. Outside of her uniform, she always wears a black bracelet and a black ring on her right hand. The reference comes with 3 headshots that show her range of emotions. Her description says "Yuwa is a bulwark that recently transferred from the frontlines to the city. She's a prodigy in magic and the strongest bulwark in the office. Her goal is to eventually get promoted to work at the capital."

Owen's reference! He's just a silly guy who may or may not be an enemy of the nation.

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A reference of my OC, Owen Draktetos (he/him). He is 30 years old and stands at 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He has tan skin and medium-length brown hair tied up in a ponytail. A strand of hair always goes down the middle of his face between his eyes. Owen has gentle eyes with a yellow hue and dark round pupils. He always wears a white bracelet on his right hand with a black and white ring on his middle finger. Owen is wearing a standard bulwark doctor uniform. It consists of a white coat on top of a black dress shirt and slacks, black shoes with gold soles, a bulwark belt, and a striped green tie. Despite his age, he has the body and face of a young man. Owen is an extremely stoic, and monotone man. He is always wearing the same expression no matter the situation. Whether it be informing someone of their fatal condition or receiving a birthday gift, Owen continues to have an eerie but soft smile on his face. He does have expression movements and speaks in a very slow, quiet, dull manner. His description says “Owen is one of the in-house doctors working at the bulwarks office. He has a strange, off-putting demeanor that ostracizes him from his co-workers. He is mostly seen alone in his office or at the community greenhouse caring for plants.”

Here's Cwen! She is one of the big baddies 😈 (Don't get too attached to this design, I'm gonna change it really soon)

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A reference of my OC, Cwen Xeraphion (she/her). She is 28 years old and stands at 5 feet, 10 inches tall. She has light skin and medium, hot pink hair tied up in a low ponytail. She has a pair of sunglasses resting on top of her head. Cwen has brown eyes with dark round pupils. Both of her eyebrows have a slit at the ends of them. She always wears a black ring on her index finger and a white ring on her ring finger. The rings are on both of her hands. She also wears a black bracelet on both arms. Cwen is wearing a standard uniform from the CAP. It consists of a short blue jacket with a hoodie, a black turtle-neck sweater, black pants, a belt with a bunch of enforcement tools, and black shoes with gold accents. Cwen looks like a confident but coy woman. She has a muscular body that she loves to show off hence her rolling up her sweater to show off her abs. Her description says “A police officer that works for the Corundum Agency of Propriety (C.A.P.), the official police force of Corundum City. She has a very poor reputation among her peers due to her rather toxic personality and her deep hatred for weak blood types.”

Guy with every issue ever. I'm shocked I don't have more polished art of him lol

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
An old drawing of Greyson (he/him) putting his head on a table and smoking after a long day at work. His hair is undone and he is not wearing the uniform jacket. The lighting is dark and the overall piece is moody. He has an annoyed but tired expression on his face. A sketchy portrait of Greyson (he/him) smiling at the viewer. A doodle of Zach (he/him) wrapping his arm around Greyson (he/him) who is pointing at something off-screen. He is listening to Greyson shit talk about someone from afar. Zach has a blank expression while Greyson has a smug expression. Simple little doodle of Greyson (he/him) holding a bloody knife. He is smiling and is clearly up to no good.

More super old Yuwa art. You can tell I drew these all during different periods because of the dramatic change in art style haha

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A portrait of Yuwa (she/her) with a concerned expression. A sketchy portrait of Yuwa (she/her) witch a confidant expression. Old art of Yuwa (she/her). The first drawing has her posing with the heart hands and giving a kissy face. The second drawing is Yuwa on her knees casting magic through a glowing circle of plasma. She has a distressed expression with dust flying around as if she's in the middle of fight. Old sketches of Yuwa (she/they). The first sketch is a side view of Yuwa putting a hand on her face as she ponders over something. She has a serious expression. The second sketch is Yuwa sitting on the ground with a relieved expression. It looks as if she just plopped herself down after doing something exhausting.

I love this silly, stoic man who only has one expression (I need to redo his expression chart it's 2 years old...)

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
Owen (he/him) leaning on his office counter while holding a clipboard. He is looking directly at the viewer with his typical monotone smile. He's not wearing his doctor's coat. A collection of drawings featuring Owen (he/him). They include him holding a file folder, putting up his ponytail, casting magic, and putting on latex gloves. All of them have him smiling as usual. A simple half-body drawing of Owen (he/him). He has one hand in his pocket and the other is waving at the viewer. He’s smiling, as always. An expression chart featuring Owen (he/him). There are 25 different expressions listed on the chart: happy, sad, love, heartfelt, suspicious, offended, anxious, embarrassed, relieved, noble, confused, resentful, smug, curious, restrained, sarcasm, excited, horrified, laughing, exhausted, flirty, drunk, flustered, and dead inside. In every single expression, Owen is just doing his typical eerie smile but at different angles. There are very slight differences between each expression. A note is included on the sarcasm expression that says “He doesn’t use sarcasm, but if he did, he’d still look the same lol”

My all-time favorite OC who hasn't received any finished art in the past few months whoops

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A temporary reference featuring my character Mai Kallikos (she/they). They are 27 years old and 5'7" (170 cm). Mai has light tan skin and wears glasses over their dark purple eyes with round pupils. They have short indigo hair with a streak of light blue hair on the right side of their head. They also have a big curly ahoge on top of their head. This Mai reference features them wearing their bulwarks uniforms. They are wearing a white button-up with a black tie. Their bulwarks jacket is black and shaped similarly to a tailcoat with light blue as their accent color. Their pants are baggy and host the mandated belt with the bulwarks logo as the buckle. Their shoes are black sneakers with gold laces and gold soles. The description reads as so: "A bulwark that was removed from the frontlines due to a tragic accident that left them with a partial disability. Mai is regarded as a failure of a bulwark that should've died along with the rest of their teammates. Currently, Mai resides in the city, waiting for an opportunity to redeem themself." Chibi art of Mai (she/they) striking a fighting stance with their rapier. Two drawings of my Mai (she/they). Left image is a half-body drawing of them crossing their arms and looking concerned. Right image is a half-body drawing of them leaning over and looking worried in dramatic lighting. An old illustration of Mai (she/they) dynamically posing with their rapier. There is an amorphous purple horse abomination behind her. This was created for a multi-artist collaborative OC tarot card project. Mai was drawn for Knight of Swords, a card that perfectly describes her character.

Various doodles of the main 5!

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
Various sketches of Mai (she/they) and Owen (he/him) interacting. Mai greatly dislikes Owen enough to glare at him when he walks by but is too socially awkward to confront him truly. In one interaction, Mai and Owen are standing next to each other while wearing casual clothing. Mai thinks to themself with a distressed expression “Are you serious!? Why on earth did Greyson invite this guy?” Owen thinks to himself with a neutral expression “This is awkward…” Additionally, there are 3 headshots of Mai exploring their annoyed facial expressions. Dynamic sketches of Mai (she/they) using their rapier in action poses. Sketches of Greyson (he/him) and Zach (he/him) being good friends. They are wearing casual clothing and interacting warmly with one another. The first sketch has them talking to each other in a teasing manner. Zach is pointing at Greyson with a smirk while Greyson lightly elbows him and holds his cigarette in the other hand. The second sketch is Zach and Greyson giving each other a tight embrace. An old sketch of Yuwa (she/her) and Greyson (he/him) putting an arm on one another as they laugh drunkenly. Greyson holds a tall glass of wine while Yuwa holds a cup of beer.

Look at my homosexuals

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A series of sketches featuring Mai (she/they) and Yuwa (she/her) interacting. The sketches include Mai and Yuwa holding hands, cuddling in bed, and sharing a kiss. In one interaction, Yuwa is lying on top of Mai pouting "Why are you reading your gay power fantasy novels when I'm right here?" Mai looks back at her with a shocked expression. The chibi doodles on the left have Yuwa giving Mai the side eye. Yuwa thinks to herself "Ugh, what's with her? She's so annoying!" while Mai thinks to themself "She's kind of annoying..." The next set has Yuwa staring intensely at Mai as she thinks to herself “I NEED YOU.” Mai thinks to themself “I hope she likes me!” The caption at underneath that sketch says “Holding back their urges to tease and pounce on Mai.” A series of sketches featuring Mai (she/they). It features their range of expressions in various poses. The top sketch has Mai sitting at a desk with their head resting on their arms. The caption for that sketch says “Talking about Yuwa” 3 sketches highlighting Yuwa’s (she/her) facial expressions. She looks neutral, annoyed, and bashful in the 3 headshots. A couple of sketches featuring Mai (she/they) and Yuwa (she/her) in fancy party outfits. Yuwa is pulling on Mai’s in the main image. Mai looks flustered at Yuwa’s teasing. The rough chibi sketches have Mai sheepishly attempting to kiss Yuwa who is expecting a kiss with tongue. The last sketch has Mai and Yuwa kissing for real.

Look at my homosexuals but the feelings are one-sided

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A black and white comic featuring Zach (he/him) and Owen (he/him). Zach looks at Owen with a concerned expression and asks, “Owen, are you okay? Do you want to talk about what’s bothering you?” With his back turned to us, Owen replies quietly, “...No.” His words feel cold and detached as he continues to focus on his task. Feeling the thick tension in the air, Zach attempts to lighten the mood. He hurriedly reassures him, “Oh, yeah, sure, th-that’s okay! Um, if you ever want to talk about it, I’ll be there for you!” Without moving, Owen states, “Please, don’t say that, Zach." Zach looks up puzzled. With his eyes wide, he asks Owen, concerned, “Huh? Why not?” Owen turns to stare at Zach. There is no emotion in his voice, yet he gives Zach his typical deadpan smile. “Because I will never be there for you.” Owen (he/him) looking deeply into Zach’s (he/him) eyes. He holds Zach’s face close and caresses his face with a hand. It feels almost comforting yet deeply invasive. Owen’s intentions remain unclear. Infatuated, Zach looks back at him flushed. The illustration is in black-and-white with low light. An illustration of Owen (he/him) smiling directly at the viewer while a pair of hands choke him on the tiled floor. The perpetrator is off-camera, with only their arms visible. Their right hand sports a white ring on the middle finger and a white watch. They shake, sweat running down their arms, but keep a firm grip on Owen's neck. Owen's eyes are outside of the light, staring callously back at the observer. He gently grasps his attacker's left arm. It's unclear if he's urging them to continue or gently persuading them to stop. Medical supplies and writing instruments are scattered over the scene. With broken glass and a spilled pill bottle lying around Owen, he remains calm.

Thank god Zach's design has stayed the same throughout the years. I had to dig deep in my files for some decent art to post of him lol. This is Mai's twin brother!

[ #art #oc #BulwarksProject ]
A full-body drawing of Zach Kallikos (he/him) that acts as his temporary reference. He is a 6 ft tall man with a sturdy body type. He has muscular arms with some belly fat. Zach has light tan skin and dark purple eyes with round pupils. He wears a black baseball cap with the bulwarks logo on top of his short medium indigo hair. His outfit consists of a white shirt with the top buttons undone, the bulwarks jacket with red as his accent color, baggy black pants, the standard bulwarks belt, and white sneakers. His right hand has a white ring on his middle finger and a white watch. His facial expression is neutral and is posed like he’s floating. Chibi art of Zach (he/him) looking adorable, as always. Very old portrait drawing of Zach (he/him). He has his typical cheerful expression on. Sketch page of Zach (he/him) featuring 3 colored sketches of him. The half-body has him blushing and giving a nervous smirk as he rubs his chin. The headshot is Zach looking back at the viewer and holding up a two-finger victory/peace sign. The half-body is Zach looking up while he leans on his left arm. His jacket is off and he has a somewhat confused, neutral expression on.
