A stunning telescopic image of NGC 247, the Needle's Eye Galaxy, a spiral galaxy in the constellation Cetus. Its edge-on orientation and a prominent void on one side are clearly visible. The image also features Burbidge's Chain, a string of four distant galaxies, and numerous background galaxies. NGC 247 is part of the Sculptor Group and lies approximately 11 million light-years from Earth.
