The term nerve agent has a specific definition. It specifically means chemical compounds that interfere with the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. This broadly means organophosphate and carbamate compounds. None of the riot control agents have this property

fortunately, stonefruit pits' cyanide can be fairly easily removed by conversion during fermentation into ethyl carbamate through exposure to sunlight or copper (as in a copper kettle.) The ethyl carbamate mostly comes out in distillation, which is why old-fashioned creme de noyaux was *mostly* safe
Had to look up creme de noyaux ...

Made from pits of stone fruit and has a 'haunting almond flavor' 😬
Shift drink: Fairbanks No. 2

2oz gin
2/3rds oz dry vermouth
2 barspoons creme de noyaux
2 dashes orange bitters

Glyphosate and Neonicotinoids are Poisoning Honeybees (and the World)
Prologue The twentieth century gave birth to honeybee neurotoxins – organophosphate, carbamate and neonicotinoid pesticides. It also gave birth to

There are worldclass scientists custom-designing chemicals for me to eat. You want me to eat food from where, the literal ground? Come on. This is the future. My favourite flavours are benzene and ethyl carbamate.

Poisoning with carbamate-based pesticides causes severe muscle contractions and a painful death. On poisoned white-tailed eagle White G note clenched talons and head thrown back. From my book Killing by Proxy. wildlifedetective.wordpress.com/books/

Thanks.

Diquat is a non-systemic, non-residual leaf killer, so maybe reasonable here (though, like paraquat, it's pretty toxic).

The systemic carbamate (chlorpropham) is arguably worse than glyphosate or diquat. Not permitted in the EU, I see.

Nice! Yeah, that makes sense about the temperature changes. Vibracell is a polyurethane resin-based synthetic material. Did a search for more info...I don't know chemistry well but this: "Polyurethane is a type of plastic polymer made from organic units linked by urethane (carbamate) connections."

New photo-crosslinker just dropped 👀

Heterobifunctional by warhead, K-K reactive, and partially tris tolerant.

I believe that this could be made into a cleavable version by reducing compound 1b to a primary amine and reacting with DSC to make an NHS-carbamate instead of an NHS-ester. Great work.

I’m at a bit of a loss how a nerve agent could be only peripheral in action. Malathion on skin to treat scabies, I suppose. Some sort of totally insoluble carbamate?

New study: Lewis-base catalysed carbamate formation under coating-relevant conditions. The key point is that base catalysis is particularly effective in reacting with acidic alcohols, such as phenols. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

2. Widespread use of pesticides, many of which were organophosphates or carbamates. Organophosphates or carbamate pesticides are nerve agents, although their characteristic vary widely

A simple new protocol for the removal of alloc carbamate and allyl esters that can be run in open flasks with a moisture stable catalyst--compatible with solid and solution phase peptide synthesis and can be used with traditional small molecules #JOrgChem #ChemSky pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
Open-Flask Protocol for the Removal of Alloc Carbamate and Allyl Ester Protecting Groups. Application to In-solution and On-resin Peptide Synthesis
The standard protocol for Alloc group removal during peptide synthesis still presents limitations, including low reaction yields, N-allylated byproducts, and the use of air-sensitive Pd(PPh3)4. We addressed these challenges by developing a novel protocol using the air-stable Pd(PPh3)2Cl2 catalyst, Meldrum’s acid (MA), and triethylsilane (TES-H). This combination ensured high yields, eliminated N-allylated byproducts, and is compatible with automated synthesis. This cost-effective and efficient method shows promise for widespread use in peptide chemistry applications and beyond.

A lot of dangerous pesticides are in the carbamate family. It's speculation that perhaps 1-2 of the broader Novichok family may have been carbamate compounds
