Most CBPOne parolees were also placed in removal proceedings upon entry, so an immigration judge has to order their removal, not Steve Miller

But the real gut punch came when I was provided access to the transcripts of Albert's court proceedings. It shows that Albert entered through the CBPOne app - a legal form of entry. He timely filed his asylum app. In other words, he did everything "the right way."

It is very real for abt a million people, although many have pending asylum claims & most others are now rushing to file them. CBPOne was meant to be an orderly way to manage the asylum queue. Ppl who made appointments got a 2 year parole & a work permit if they could pay $470.

I feel so bad today for folks waiting in Tijuana to cross. & the paid staff at the agency where I volunteer, who’ve helped & translated for hundreds of people a week.
Will CBP let some folks cross & release them today, even with CBPOne so publicly ❎? Or does our work welcoming migrants end? 💔

CBPOne, for instance, helped make the process for migrants seeking asylum much more orderly -- so of course Trump killed it, because they're not interested in orderly immigration. They just want *no* immigration except for rich cronies and white Europeans and South Africans.
