We also use scat DNA to study diet, to learn about #seabirds ecology & for ecosystem monitoring. Adélie penguins are a CEMP indicator species: diet data are collected using stomach lavage. We are working to standardise a complementary 💩🧬 method for long-term monitoring that is less invasive for 🐧
