CCMC had ALREADY stopped providing this lifesaving care in July 2025 under threats to federal funding. Then in March 2026, a federal court ruled those funding threats were illegal. CCMC settled with the DOJ anyway.

Preliminary modeling by NASA M2M shows the X1.1 CME directed at Earth with northward bias, potentially impacting aorund July 3, 4 UT. BUT there is a HUGE caveat with this model... according to the entry on CCMC CME Scoreboard, no STEREO-A COR2 imagery was used for the fitting.
