What a classless series of decisions by this USC defender. He: takes a cheap shot at Dante Moore, celebrates his ‘play’ not realizing penalty flags were raining down, then acts like a wrestling villain as he heads to the sideline. Moore is hurt.

Look how much distance there is between the defenders and Dante Moore here.

At this point the slide is already complete the play is over and Moore’s leg is down. And he started his slide a full yard before.

New to CORE? It stands for Context & Opponent-Relative Efficiency.

It uses play-level EPA, adjusted for game situation and opponent strength, to rate offense and defense.

The CFBD Model is looking pretty good so far.
I typically don't share my model picks for a variety of reasons, but the CFBD model did quite well this year (#2 overall), so what the heck.

CFP First Round

Notre Dame (-9.0) over Indiana
Penn State (-11.2) over SMU
Texas (-15.2) over Clemson
Ohio State (-11.1) over Tennessee

I wouldn’t say “exactly”. The CFBD article was decent journalism. But how about calling out “sleepy Donnie Trump” when he appears to fall asleep at the Pope’s funeral? Or calling kids illegally sent to Honduras as more than “caught in the cross hairs” (ie illegally removed)? Facts aren’t partisan.

Here’s how it’s going for Clemson. A running back ran into an offensive lineman and one of his butt cheeks caused a fumble. #Derp
