It was reported on a cfcn article. He may be trying to shore up whatever different support he can get on different measures from all the parties. He seems committed to truly governing for all Canadians as much as he can. Which is a difficult thing to do. So we'll see.

By the age of 18, Wilf had worked as a lumberjack and sang in boxcars with people riding the rails. He moved to Calgary and worked on the Davis Ranch. To earn extra money, he sang at local events. In 1929, he performed on the radio for the first time on CFCN in Calgary.
