Cambridge Folk Festival 2018 first names announced: Patti Smith (!), Kate Rusby, Peatbog Faeries have got me looking forward to it already. @CamFolkFest #CFF18 https://www.cambridgelivetrust.co.uk/folk-festival/line-up

Looking forward to a surprisingly promising opening evening at the Cambridge Folk Festival tonight: not one, but two two acts I absolutely *love* listening to. (However, in true festival style, also one act I'll be running a mile from!) #CFF18

Guerrilla Kitchen at #CFF18 - yay! #BunLove

Grace Petrie being completely adorable at #CFF18 – audience loving it. ⁦@gracepetrie⁩

Observation of the evening from @fenlandgent that the current act on stage at #CFF18 sounds like Otis Redding sung by Terence Trent D'Arby: ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I'll be surprised if there's anything much better on at #CFF18 this weekend than St Paul and the Broken Bones. Wow. What a performance. https://youtu.be/v2hZijYFL_g @StP_BrokenBones

Apparently @fenlandgent is curating next year's Cambridge Folk Festival (or at least that's what he tells me). Hoping this mention might persuade him to reveal the lineup as a Twitter exclusive here. #CFF18

Listening to Patti Smith at #CFF18 #MyFolkFest – a true poet.

Elephant Sessions from the Highlands taking the roof off at the end of day 3 at #CFF18 #MyFolkFest @ElephantSession

We've just come up with the brilliant idea of @katerusby doing an album of folk covers of songs from 80s Yorkshire bands. "Don't You Want Me", "Damaged Goods", that sort of thing. Don't think she'll do any of those at #CFF18 in a minute though.

Roof lifted off the Stage 1 tent by a band from the Highlands for the second night running. The fabulous Peatbog Faeries. #CFF18 @PeatbogFaeries
