One month from tonight, I will be watching election returns for the #CHACityCouncil races. Who will win? What will turnout look like?

We shall see.

Five weeks from tomorrow, #Chattanooga elects its next city council and mayor. There's a ballot measure to decide as well.

In #CHACityCouncil District 9, there are three candidates for the open seat being vacated by Demetrus Coonrod:

Ron Elliott
Letechia Ellis
Evelina Irén Kertay

BREAKING: I am not in the #CHACityCouncil district I thought I was in! A candidate knocked on the door, and I cheerfully argued with his campaign worker for a minute. Nevertheless, she persisted. 😉And she was, it turns out, right!

Now, I am pretty plugged-in, or so I thought. How did I miss this?

All right, folks. The next election I have to pay attention to is for Chattanooga City Council. Yeah, there's a mayoral race too, but that's a gimme. Mayor Tim Kelly will easily win re-election.

But it's not so clear how some of the #CHACityCouncil races will end up. We'll examine. #localelections

I’ve just learned that my district’s city council member, Dr. Carol Berz, has passed away.

I counted her as a friend, and deeply appreciate her for everything she did for the community.

May her memory be a blessing.
