STDC's accounting for its relationship with Teesworks Ltd shifted three times when challenged. Errors running to £23m. An advisory board chaired by the former head of the CIPFA was watching over this.

There are others though. Warrington, which is currently at risk of a S114, has had a critical CIPFA review, is £1.8bn in debt due in large part to speculative investments, has had an auditor resignation and is currently under a best value inspection, was publishing no accounts today

It was first on when I was doing my initial CIPFA accountancy training back in 89/90. The group split right down the middle between lovers and haters. The lovers came in the morning after the episode with Bob’s first appearance completely traumatised 😂
