A bit of background. Holy Cross has a minority population that clocked in at 26% in Fall 2017, an enormous increase over the population stat when I was a student here from '06-10, when the statistic hovered somewhere around 17%. The ratio in #CLAS102 is somewhere in between. 4/

Talked about Horace meeting Maecenas in Serm. 1.6 and tried to come up with an example of a celebrity who would leave you star-struck. For some god-awful unknown reason, the first example that came to my tongue was Kim Kardashian. I feel dirty for making that comparison. #CLAS102

Fatal translation-choosing mistake: this version of Ovid's Metamorphoses doesn't have line numbers, so I have to cite by page number for my #CLAS102 slideshows. I feel dirty.

My #CLAS102 students' final projects are due today, and I'm doing a relatively good job of grading them as they come in so that I don't end up with a massive pile later on. This entire "time management" thing is so off brand for me, but I guess we can call it "growth."
