We're starting with a plenary by Mikko Laitinen on ego networks in CMC, who urges us not to disregard the importance of relationships when studying online language use #CMCCorpora-2026
His work is based on "old Twitter" and was collected while the research API was free (they estimate it would now cost 3.5 million € to collect this with a paid service 🤯).
