The country purchased two patrol aircraft and one C-295 transport aircraft to replace the outdated Casa CN-235.

Ireland also plans to equip C295W Persuader patrol aircraft with a system for launching sonar buoys. They are supposed to be placed in areas of the greatest activity of Russian ships.

현재 한국공군의 수송세력은 C-130 16대, CN-235 20대, C-390 3대 도입예정으로 정리가 되는데, C-17 12대를 도입하면 CN-235를 6~4대까지 줄일수 있음.

CN-235 얘들은 백령도/흑산도 같은 낙도에 투입하면 좋기 때문에(...) 완전 치우면 아쉬운 물건임. 그렇다고 낙도 전용 수송기를 또 따로 사면 돈낭비임.

그러면 이 12대를 해외전개지원용으로 마구 굴리고, KC-330을 공중급유전용+장거리 인원수송 한정으로 못박고, C-390+C-130을 동북아 전역 전용으로 굴리면 됨.

Si me permitís una anécdota. El primer CN-235 fue bautizado como "Infanta Elena" y como tal, le pusieron el nombre grabado. Pues la curiosidad es que ese nombre está hecho con la letra de mi padre escribiendo el nombre de mi madre. 😜
