Dass sich die Entscheidungsträger*innen dieser Erde bei COP28 aller Klarheit aus der Wissenschaft zum Trotz nicht auf einen Ausstieg aus fossilen Energieträgern einigen können, ist ein fatales Zeichen für den Klimaschutz und es zeigt einmal mehr, wie stark die fossile Lobby doch immer noch ist. 😐🌍🔥

I reflected on the first week of COP28 with @amywestervelt.bsky.social. we covered a lot of ground, but kept returning to this:

we can't trust fossil fuels to self-regulate. COP was meant to coalesce governments against them, but that's failed.

so, now what? 🧪🌍
