トヨタ自動車やホンダ、日産自動車が車載アプリケーションとソフトウエア基盤をつなぐAPI（アプリケーション・プログラミング・インターフェース）の共通化に乗り出した。マツダなども巻き込み、日本車で共通のアプリが動作する環境を整える。グループの枠組みを超えた異例の協調体制で年間2000万台規模のエコシステム（生態系）をつくる。米Google（グーグル）など「テックジャイアント」への対抗軸を打ち出す。
